Parking:
Parking will be limited at the registration area. Runners are encouraged to carpool if
possible. Parking will be provided in the gravel lot next to the registration building, in
the lot around the Big White House and down a gravel drive further into Youth Camp.
Be prepared to walk and make sure you plan ahead. Please do not park on the road in
front of Youth Camp as you will interfere with the race course and please do not park on
the grass at Youth Camp due to wet conditions.
Restrooms:
There is a restroom building located next to the Big White House.
Timing:
The race will be timed by Columbus Running Club. Results will be posted after the race
on Facebook event page.
Awards:
All runners will receive a finisher medal.The overall male and female finishers will
receive a plaque. We will also give awards to the top 3 age group finishers (male/female)
Age groups are as follows: 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Post Race Food:
Lunch will be provided for all participants post race.
Extra Clothing/Race Packet:
Runners can leave items at the registration for safe keeping while on the course. There
will also be boxes provided at the water stops for those needing to shed clothing due to
the chilly start of race.
Course Info:
Race course is not closed to traffic. Runners are encouraged to use extreme caution with
traffic and be aware of cars as you will be running on hilly, county roads. Course will be
marked with either signage or volunteers.
Race Course Aid/Support:
The race will have 5 water stop opportunities and will provide gatorade at 2 of the water
stops. We will have cyclists on the course for support.

The course is not closed to traffic. We will have adult volunteers at the crossings to manage the traffic. Runners are encouraged to use caution at the crossings.
Course: Start and finish at Northside Pediatrics, run north on People Trail towards Owens Bend
Park (out/back).
Restrooms:
Portable Toilets are located at the Start/Finish.
Timing:
The race will be timed by the Columbus Running Club. Results will be posted after the race on RunColumbus.org.
Hydration & Snacks:
Gatorade and water on the course and at the start/finish. Fruit and granola bars will also be available.

This FREE run is hosted by the Columbus Running Club and is open to ALL elementary-aged students and younger in Bartholomew County AND surrounding counties.
Divisions/Distances:
* Preschool & Kindergarten - 1/4 mile
* 1st & 2nd Grade - 1/2 mile
* 3rd & 4th Grade - 1 mile
* 5th & 6th Grade - 1 mile

Indiana Invasives Initiative 5K Fun Run

Date: Nov. 4, 2023
Location: Mill Race Park, 50 Carl Miske Dr., Columbus, IN
Time: Check-in starts at 7:30am ET at the Mill Race Tower, race begins at 8:30am
Registration: $25, includes a t-shirt and race medal. (Registrations after October 15th will not receive a shirt or medal.)
The trail is paved, and stroller and wheelchair friendly. There will be fun and educational stations thorughout the race, and those who visit each station with their passport can enter to win a prize! There will be awards for:
largest team
most funds raised
furthest traveled
best costume
standard race trophies for fastest female and male and fastest time in four age groups.

Who May Join: Youth aged 7 through 18 interested in Cross Country. Beginners and experienced athletes are welcome.
Practice Location: Mill Race Park Amphitheater
Practice Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. until daylight savings ends.
Practice time will move to 5:00 to 6:15 pm on November 6th.

Who May Join: Youth aged 7 through 18 interested in track and field. Beginners and experienced athletes are welcome.
Practice Location: North Highschool Track
Practice Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:45 to 7:15 PM each week for practice. The first practice is Monday, May 16th and we will continue practice through July 14th.
Meet schedule: All meets are optional, but we encourage everyone to sign up to compete in at least one meet.
